SwipeGuide is the winner of the Young Technology Award 2017 and can take home the winning prize of €5,000. The CEO and proud founder of SwipeGuide, Willemijn Schneyder, won the prize in an exciting finale with her powerful pitch.

The Young Technology Awards

The Young Technology Award is intended for young, innovative companies from the Netherlands and was held in the Grote Kerk in Enschede. The Young Technology Award was organized by Novel-T and took place for the tenth time this year.

Difficult choice for the jury

The level of the finalists was exceptionally high this year, making the choice very difficult for the jury. The jury eventually chose SwipeGuide as the winner of the main prize. According to the jury, the pitch of Willemijn Schneyder (CEO) was decisive:

“SwipeGuide actually solves a problem in the market”. SwipeGuide is a tech startup that develops a cloud software application that enables companies to easily create visual user guides, to publish and to share multichannel with the focus on mobile. SwipeGuide improves the customer experience, reduces the cost of services and prevents stacks of wasted paper. “It starts with a manual replacement and also offers a solution in work instructions and e-learning. In the end, they also have a next level approach for the future. In short, a huge impact”, according to the jury panel.

The jury of the Young Technology Award 2017 consisted of Paul Nijhof (ReintenInfra, former Wehkamp), Bas Oude Luttikhuis (DealerDirect), Jaap de Carpentier (ex-TenCate and TUI) and Anne-Wil Lucas (StartupDelta). In selecting the winner, the jury looked at the technological and/or commercial innovation, the distinctive character, the growth potential, the impact of the innovation on the sector and society, the quality of the entrepreneurs and the pitch.

Six companies were nominated for the award. 20Face, Ecofalt, Ipsum Energy, Mobina IT and Smart2IT were also competing for the prize.
